I just strayed onto this poignant
blog post, and it reminded me how lucky I am to have such a wonderful family. The post struck a chord, because we lost our first child, stillborn at full term. We went on to have two beautiful children who alternately bring joy and endless madness into our lives, but we wouldn't be without them.
Just had a read of that posting. I can imagine just how much that moving posting, struck a chord with you.
ReplyDeleteSaddened to know that your first child was stillborn. And yet, through that sadness, came the joy and wonder of your other two children.
In peace, Gary.
Yeah, that post was pretty close to home Gary. It was a harsh experience, but it also gave us a different perspective on life and put some things into proportion.
ReplyDeleteThat post is the most superb act of written love I recall ever reading. I sit in awe of the way healing words tumble forth like colored jewels, metaphorical magic, full of more pure Truth than most of us could write in a lifetime.
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks for Stuck and for all the children left to suffer outside the protection of the system, and I'm humbled by Sugar's ability to lift spirits in spite of it all. Bless her, and you for sharing this.
Thank you for sharing your story! I'am really sad that your first child was stillborn!
